Birthday Cake Smoothie


On January 4th, XO Jacqui turned three years old.

You know how they say when you have a baby, "The years are short and the days are long"? I'm experiencing that with this company. Three years feels like both forever and no time at all.

Alexis and I love what we do. We couldn't do it without you. Your support is the reason this small, women-owned protein powder company exists.

So to celebrate, Alexis created this Birthday Cake Smoothie—and we're hoping you'll make it with us. A virtual cheers to being in it together.

Birthday Cake Smoothie

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 medjool date, pitted
  • ½ cup coconut milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 scoop XO Jacqui protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons naturally dyed sprinkles, plus extra for topping
  • Optional: Coconut whipped cream for serving

Instructions:

  1. Add frozen bananas, date, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract to your blender.
  2. Add one scoop of XO Jacqui protein powder.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons of naturally dyed sprinkles.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour into a glass.
  6. Top with extra sprinkles and coconut whipped cream if you're feeling celebratory (you should be).
  7. Drink it. Enjoy it. Know that you're part of something good.

We're three weeks into January now. Maybe those intentions you set are still going strong. Maybe they've quietly faded. Maybe you're somewhere in between.
